I made this alternative to traditional harsh chemically-based toothpastes for sensitive teeth and gums that need gentler care
Fluoride is not mandatory for a healthy mouth! A toothpaste with anti-bacterial and anti-plaque properties will therefore be sufficient to ensure good oral hygiene and without any risk to your health !! (Description of Fluoride side effects below)
Children will love the grey color when they brush their teeth in the mirror! 😉
Smooth teeth:
I only use natural mild abrasives to prevent plaque:
Calcium carbonate (Lime),
FRENCH GREEN CLAY that also neutralizes acidity.Whitened teeth
(especially good for coffee drinkers & smokers):
IRIS flower powder,
CHARCOAL and
LEMON essential oil to purify and detoxify in order to reveal the natural underlying bright smiles! 🙂Cavity prevention

WHY NOT FLUORIDE?
Fluoride has the advantage of inserting itself in dental enamel to harden it and is not toxic if we respect the recommended doses: fixed per day at 0.5 mg for children from 1 to 3 years old, 0.8 mg for children from 4 to 6 years old, 1.5 mg for women / 2 mg for men.
A few reasons why it is classified as one of the 10 most dangerous substances in the world by the World Health Organization:
1. Fluoride is a bactericide and disinfectant that disrupts the oral flora and saliva.
2. Excess of fluoride causes the appearance of spots on the teeth: whitish or brown colors.
3. Can cause Fluorosis: a disease that makes teeth porous.
4. At higher doses, it can be responsible for Osteoporosis, or Thyroid disease.
5. Some studies even suggest that it can cause Neurological disorders / lower IQ in children.
HOW TO?
Open the cap and then gently press the white « bubble head» at the other end while blocking the little air hole with your thumb: the paste will automatically come out! 🙂

As my cosmetics are entirely made of natural ingredients the use-by date is much shorter than products made out of mineral oil derivatives and chemicals. However, as my toothpaste is air-protected in its dispenser so it doesn’t really alter in smell or texture. Here, my major concern is to make the most out of the essential oils – because over time they evaporate. So, start using the toothpaste as soon as you purchase it!
